At Atlan, we started as a data team ourselves tackling problems like national healthcare and poverty alleviation with data science. (Check out our TEDx talk and case studies.)

The problem: After working on 200+ data projects, we learned how tough it was to scale data teams. Data teams are one of the most interdisciplinary teams ever created. They're made up of analysts, data scientists, engineers, business users – diverse people with their own tooling preferences, skill sets, and "DNA" that need to come together. This leads to collaboration chaos.

We were awoken with crisis calls every second day for the minutest of issues — from troubleshooting why a number on a dashboard was incorrect to difficulties in getting access to the right data set! Atlan started with us building tools to make our own data team more agile.

These tools made our team 6x more agile, helping us take on amazing projects like building India's National Data Platform used by India's Prime Minister. The best part — this was built by an eight-member team, the fastest project of its kind to go live, in a record twelve months instead of the projected three years.

You will help us...

• Conduct in-depth data analysis to identify key trends, patterns, and insights
• Work with Product Managers to define success criteria, instrument events, and track success metrics for product launches.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for organisational success, such as competitive analysis or market research
• Develop and maintain dashboards to communicate insights effectively.
• Utilize SQL and Excel/Google Sheets for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide data-driven recommendations.
• We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Product Operations Analyst Intern to join our growing analytics function. As a Product Analyst, you will play a crucial role in shaping Atlan’s product strategy by providing actionable insights derived from data analysis. This is a remote role.
• The ideal candidate should have a strong analytical mindset, be proficient in SQL and Excel, and have hands-on experience with modern business intelligence tools such as Looker, Power BI, Tableau, or Sigma.

What makes you a great match 🚀

• Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science or a related field
• Proficiency in SQL and Excel/ Google Sheets for data analysis and manipulation.
• Experience with modern business intelligence tools such as Looker, Power BI, Tableau, or Sigma.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
• Self-driven attitude with the ability to take ownership of projects and work independently.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Good-to-Have Skills 👩🏻‍💻

• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python and R.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis and modelling techniques.
• Experience in A/B testing and experimentation.
• Experience with Product Analytics tools like Mixpanel, Amplitude etc
